Applications of our Heating & Cooling Coil Products

Heating and Cooling Coil Products Ltd. supplies finned heat exchangers and associated products to the HVAC, refrigeration and process cooling markets.

Coils:
Coils can be designed for ducted airstreams to suit heating and cooling applications. The primary fluids can be selected from steam, water, glycols or refrigerants.
We are able to offer a range of fin and casing materials to suit varying environmental conditions that may be encountered.

Dry air Coolers:
Our dry air coolers are used in closed loop cooling systems for air conditioning, waste heat removal or process cooling. Units are available with fan speeds ranging from 360 RPM to 930 RPM. Models can be supplied for either horizontal or vertical airflow. They cool the working fluid by passing ambient air over the finned tubes. It is possible to achieve leaving fluid temperatures 3°C above the prevailing ambient temperature. Typical applications include generator engine cooling, induction furnace cooling and coolers for plastic extruding machinery.

Where lower temperatures are required, some of our dry air coolers can be fitted with a 100% loss water system which enables fluid temperatures 6°C above ambient wet bulb temperature to be achieved.

Air cooled condensers:
Our air cooled condensers are similar in design to the dry air coolers. They are specially circuited and constructed to withstand the levels of pressure associated with condensing refrigerants.

Control packages, which control the number of fans running or the fan speed, are available for the condensers and dry air coolers.

Energy saving:
The use of low speed fans will considerably reduce the energy consumption of our dry air coolers and air cooled condensers. In low ambient conditions it is possible to produce chilled water with a dry air cooler without the use of a refrigeration system. This is referred to as free cooling.

Where a source of waste heat is available we are able to design a run around system. This system reclaims heat from a high temperature extract system by cooling the airstream and then uses the heat to increase the temperature of a supply airstream in a different location.

Low temperature refrigeration:
We produce a range of floor mounted and ceiling mounted coolers for use in refrigerated cold stores. Models are available to suit deep freeze and chilling applications using refrigerants and glycols. A range of casing and fin materials is available. Special fan systems can be supplied to suit blast freezing or chilling applications. Various types of defrost systems are available.
